In the first quarter of 2024, European readers have shown their preferences through their interaction with various book applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers insights into how apps like Audible: Audio Entertainment, Litres: Books and audiobooks, Storytel - Audiobooks Library, GALATEA: Novels & Audiobooks, and GoodNovel - Stories & Novels are faring in the market.

Starting with Audible, the app's revenue floated around the $1M mark weekly, peaking at $1.1M in late February. Downloads showed a slight downward trend from 187K in the first week of January to 132K by the end of March, while weekly active users saw a decrease from 3.15M to 2.87M.

Litres experienced a revenue increase from $116K to over $200K in late February, settling at $157K by the end of March. Downloads started at approximately 53K and experienced a mild decline to 36K, while active users decreased from 469K to 402K over the quarter.

Storytel maintained a steady revenue between $245K and $295K, with a notable peak in late February. Downloads began at 63K, dipping to 45K, and weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.1M.

GALATEA saw its revenue fluctuate, starting at $259K and moving to a quarter-high of $262K in early February, before ending at $219K. Downloads showed a decrease from 29K to 21K, with active users starting at 260K and slightly declining to 225K.

Lastly, GoodNovel showed a consistent revenue around the $100K mark, with a slight increase to $112K by the quarter's end. Downloads, which began at 9.6K, showed a gentle decrease to 5.8K, while active users remained stable, with a slight increase from 62K to 62K.
