Q1 2024 Performance of Top Books Apps on iOS in the UK

In the first quarter of 2024, the Books category on the iOS platform in the United Kingdom saw varying user engagement across top applications. Sensor Tower's data offers insights into how these apps performed in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

Audible: Audio Entertainment experienced fluctuations in revenue, peaking at $278K in early February and then dipping to around $229K in late March. Downloads for Audible started at 25K in the first week of January and saw a decrease to 16K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a slight decline from 245K in the first week to 225K in the final week of March.

For Amazon Kindle, there was no notable revenue except for a negligible $11 in late January. Downloads began at 19K and gradually decreased to 11K by the end of the quarter. Kindle's active users saw a dip from 193K to 155K during the same period.

Goodreads: Book Reviews had no revenue to report, but downloads decreased from 27K in the first week of January to just over 4K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a downward trend from 96K to 70K across the quarter.

Libby, by OverDrive also reported no revenue. Downloads began at 5K and saw a decline to roughly 3K by March's end. The app's weekly active users showed a consistent range, starting at 37K and ending slightly lower at 34K.

Lastly, BorrowBox Library did not generate revenue during this period. Downloads for BorrowBox peaked at 5K in late January, followed by a decrease to 2K in the last week of March. Weekly active users were highest at 45K in early January, with a slight decrease to 41K by the quarter's close.
