Q1 2024 Performance of Top Books Apps on iOS in Australia

In the first quarter of 2024, Australia's iOS users showed their love for reading through their engagement with top book applications. Brought to you by Sensor Tower, here's how the top apps fared.

Audible: Audio Entertainment maintained a steady revenue stream with slight fluctuations, peaking at $184K in mid-January and then settling at $165K by the end of March. Downloads started strong at 8.9K in the second week of January but saw a decline to 7.1K by the end of March. Weekly active users peaked at 137K in the first week but gradually decreased to 129K by the quarter's close.

GoodNovel - Stories & Novels experienced a drop in revenue, from $67K at the start of January to $49K by the end of March. Downloads also saw a decrease from 1.9K to 1.1K in the same period. However, weekly active users remained relatively stable, with a slight uptick from 12.2K to 12.4K.

For Dreame - Read Best Romance, revenue showed an upward trend with a notable jump to $34.7K in late January, followed by a peak of $31.2K in late March. Downloads, however, experienced a decline from 695 in the third week of January to 326 by the end of March. Weekly active users were at their highest at 8K in late January and remained above 6.9K throughout the quarter.

MoboReader-The Alpha King saw its revenue decrease from $32.5K in the first week to $17.2K in the last week of the quarter. Downloads also dropped from 1.2K to just under 200. Weekly active users showed a downward trend, from 3.4K at the beginning of January to 2.4K by the end of March.

Lastly, 起点读书-正版小说漫画阅读中文网 had a roller coaster in terms of revenue, with an initial $8K, a spike to $28.4K in late February, and finishing strong at $29.2K. Downloads remained in the low hundreds, and weekly active users saw minimal change, staying around the 2.3K mark throughout the quarter.
