In the first quarter of 2024, the top entertainment apps on the Android platform in France showcased varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of these leading apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

TF1+ : Streaming, TV en Direct from e-TF1 saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at approximately $55K in early March. Weekly downloads started strong with 26.3K at the beginning of January, rose to 45.7K by mid-January, and then gradually declined to 30.8K by the end of March. Active users also showed a consistent increase, beginning at 305K and rising to 414K by the end of the quarter.

Disney+ maintained a robust weekly revenue, averaging around $410K throughout the quarter. Downloads were steady, with a high of 35.3K in the first week of January and a low of 25.9K in mid-February. Active users initially decreased from 1.5M to 1.2M in January but rebounded to finish the quarter at 1.3M.

Amazon Prime Video had modest weekly revenue, generally under $100, except for a notable spike to $94K in the last week of March. Downloads varied, with highs of around 31K in late January and late March, and lows of approximately 24K in mid-March. Active users saw a peak of 1.2M in mid-February, followed by a decline to 929K by the end of the quarter.

Netflix did not report revenue figures but showed steady weekly downloads, starting at 33.5K in early January and ending at 25.3K in late March. Active users started at 4.3M in the first week of January, dipped to 3.5M by mid-March, and then slightly increased to 3.6M by the end of the quarter.

OQEE by Free from Oqee had no reported revenue but showed a significant peak in downloads at 59.4K in mid-January. Downloads then declined to around 14.6K by the end of March. Active users mirrored this trend, starting at 145K, peaking at 198K in mid-January, and ending the quarter at 154K.
