During Q3 2023, the top five entertainment applications on the Android platform in Nigeria demonstrated varying performance trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the data provided by Sensor Tower.

Netflix saw its weekly downloads peak in mid-August, reaching approximately 113.8K. This was a significant jump compared to the start of the quarter, where downloads were around 47.4K. However, the app experienced a gradual decline in active users, from 529.7K in late June to about 491.7K by the end of September.

Photo AI experienced a remarkable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at about 78.3K in mid-September. Active users followed a similar upward trend, starting at 226 in late June and reaching around 142K by mid-September, before settling at 104.4K towards the end of the quarter.

Video Download Player maintained a steady performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 11.5K and 30.4K. Active users increased from 28K in late June to a high of around 47.6K in early September, before slightly decreasing to 42.4K at the quarter's end.

Video Downloader and Player exhibited a sharp decline in weekly downloads, starting strong with approximately 41.2K in late July but dropping significantly to just 67 by the end of September. Correspondingly, active users saw a substantial drop from 87.5K in late July to about 21.1K by the end of the quarter.

MovieBox-Asian Drama,HD Movies showed consistent growth in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads rose steadily from 7.4K in late June to about 41.4K by the end of September. Similarly, active users increased from 15.4K to approximately 74.1K over the same period.
