In the first quarter of 2023, the top entertainment apps in Latin America saw varied performance trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Netflix experienced a steady revenue stream, peaking at approximately $173K in the final week of February. Downloads showed an initial spike of 1.3M in the first week of January, followed by a gradual decline to 844K by the end of March. Active users saw a slight decrease throughout the quarter, from 61.5M to 51.1M.

ViX: TV, Fútbol y Noticias had a notable peak in revenue, reaching around $220K in the first week of January. Downloads peaked at 1.6M in the week of January 23, then declined to 581K by the end of March. Active users initially increased to 6.7M in mid-January but settled to around 5.4M at the end of the quarter.

Pluto TV: Watch & Stream Live saw a varying pattern in downloads, starting with 1M in late December, dipping to 505K by the end of February, and then rising again to 1.4M in mid-March. Active users showed a similar trend, starting at 3.9M, dropping to 2.8M, and then rising to 4.4M by the end of March.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies recorded consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $1.4M in mid-March. Downloads hit a high of 1.1M in mid-January, gradually decreasing to 671K by the end of March. Active users rose from 7.9M to a peak of 9.9M in late February, then declined to 7.8M by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Disney+ maintained a steady revenue stream, averaging around $1.1M weekly. Downloads peaked at 864K in early January, followed by a consistent decline to 561K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight downward trend, starting at 10M and ending at approximately 8.3M.
