In Q1 2023, the top 5 entertainment applications in Ghana on a unified platform demonstrated varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

TikTok, a popular social media app from TikTok Ltd., saw a fluctuating weekly revenue trend, peaking at approximately $3.2K in the final week of March. Weekly downloads showed a significant spike at the beginning of January, reaching around 383K, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 4.5M to 5M throughout the quarter.

StarTimes ON, published by Union Shine Holdings Co., Ltd, experienced modest revenue growth, with a peak of $20 in the first week of March. Weekly downloads peaked at 21.3K in mid-March, while weekly active users presented a slight decline from 52.3K at the start of January to about 41.5K by the end of March.

Netflix, the streaming giant from Netflix, Inc., had a stable revenue pattern, peaking at $248 in the third week of February. Weekly downloads remained fairly consistent, ranging from 12K to 16K, and weekly active users showed a steady presence, consistently around 670K to 690K throughout the quarter.
