In the first quarter of 2023, the entertainment app landscape on iOS in Finland showcased varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

TikTok saw its weekly revenue fluctuate, peaking at around $23K in the last week of January. Weekly downloads experienced a mid-quarter dip but recovered to approximately 5.1K in early March. The app maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users increasing from 411.9K to 432.3K by the end of March.

NORMAL observed a significant jump in weekly downloads, especially notable in the week of March 20, where downloads surged to 9.6K, and further to 12.8K by the end of the month. Correspondingly, weekly active users saw an increase from 7.4K at the beginning of the quarter to 21.5K by the end of March.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies experienced consistent weekly revenue, averaging around $24K to $26K, with a peak of $27.7K in mid-February. Weekly downloads started strong with 5K in mid-January but gradually declined to 1.8K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decrease, from 54.7K at the beginning to 48.1K at the end of the quarter.

Podimo: Podcasts & audiobooks had varied weekly revenue, peaking at $7.1K at the end of January. Weekly downloads reached a high of 4.1K in mid-February but stabilized around 2K towards the end of March. Active users increased from 3.7K at the beginning of the quarter to 5.9K by the end of March.

Disney+ maintained a steady weekly revenue, averaging around $40K, with a peak of $43.5K in early January. Downloads saw a significant drop from 4.4K in late December to approximately 1.6K by the end of March. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 83K to 93.8K throughout the quarter.
