During the first quarter of 2023, the leading entertainment apps on iOS in Italy demonstrated diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides an insightful overview of the app performance for Disney+, Netflix, TikTok, Amazon Prime Video, and Paramount+.

Disney+ experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $218K at the end of December and closing the quarter at around $225K. Downloads saw a decline from 26.2K to 13.4K, while active users varied, peaking at 728.7K in early January and ending at 604K.

Netflix maintained steady weekly revenue, oscillating between $97K and $125K throughout the quarter. Downloads decreased from 52K to 18.1K, and active users also showed a downward trend from 2.53M to 2.03M.

For TikTok, revenue remained relatively stable, ranging from $92K to $120K. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 54.7K, peaking at 61.2K in mid-March, and ending at 39.8K. Active users slightly decreased from 6.46M to 6.37M.

Amazon Prime Video saw revenue grow from $28.5K to $38.6K mid-quarter before dropping to $28.6K. Downloads varied, with notable spikes such as 59.4K in early March, and active users increased from 598K to 661.6K by mid-March before settling at 481.8K.

Paramount+ showed consistent revenue growth, beginning at $11.2K and peaking at $20.9K in late February. Downloads, however, declined from 20.4K to 6.1K, and active users showed a similar trend, starting at 39.4K and ending at 31.2K.
