In the first quarter of 2023, the top 5 entertainment apps on Android in Ghana showed varying trends in weekly downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the performance of StarTimes ON-Live TV, Football, Netflix, MyDStv Africa, DStv, and YouTube Kids.

StarTimes ON-Live TV, Football experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 19.8K in mid-March. The app's weekly active users saw a slight decline from 48.2K at the beginning of the quarter to around 37.6K by the end of March.

Netflix maintained a consistent download rate, with numbers hovering around 11K weekly downloads for most of the quarter. Active users also remained relatively stable, starting at around 543.7K and ending the quarter at approximately 547.5K.

MyDStv Africa showed a mixed performance in weekly downloads, with a notable spike to 8.2K in mid-February but dropping to about 2.7K by the end of March. The app's active users displayed a more stable trend, starting at 52.3K and ending the quarter at about 49.2K.

YouTube Kids experienced steady weekly downloads, averaging about 4K. Active users increased from about 97K at the start of the quarter to 107.2K by mid-March, before slightly dropping to 101.5K by the end of the quarter.
