In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 books applications in Malta showed notable trends in downloads and revenue, according to Sensor Tower data. Here’s a closer look at their performance.

Amazon Kindle experienced a steady increase in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter. Starting from around 95 downloads at the beginning of October, the app saw a significant rise, peaking at 141 downloads in the last week of December.

Audible: Audio Entertainment displayed a fluctuating trend in both downloads and revenue. Weekly revenue ranged from approximately $725 to $906, with a peak in the week of November 28. Downloads saw a significant spike in early December, reaching 385, and another peak at 220 in mid-December.

Wattpad - Read & Write Stories showed notable volatility in downloads throughout the quarter. After an initial increase to 379 downloads at the end of October, the app saw another surge in early December, peaking at 990 downloads. Revenue for Wattpad fluctuated between approximately $44 and $109, with a notable peak of $102 in the week of December 19.

Goodreads: Book Reviews experienced a gradual increase in weekly downloads. From a modest start of 31 downloads at the end of September, the app saw a peak of 120 downloads in mid-December, before slightly dropping to 77 downloads in the last week of the year.

Libby, the Library App also showed growth in downloads over the quarter. Starting from 22 downloads in late September, the app peaked at 98 downloads in the week of December 5, maintaining higher download numbers through the end of December.
