In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five books applications on the iOS platform in Europe displayed diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance.

Audible: Audio Entertainment from Audible, Inc. saw a consistent increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $615K in the week of November 28. Downloads showed a significant rise towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 92K in the last week of December. Active users fluctuated but ended the quarter strong with about 847K weekly active users.

Litres: Books and audiobooks experienced a decline in weekly revenue, starting at $278K in late September and dropping to approximately $141K by the end of December. Downloads also saw a slight decrease, with numbers fluctuating around 14K to 21K throughout the quarter. Active users followed a downward trend, closing the quarter with around 93K.

Storytel - Audiobooks Library from Storytel Sweden AB maintained steady weekly revenue, averaging around $120K to $136K. Downloads were stable, ranging from 18K to 23K, with a notable increase to about 24K in the last week of December. Active users remained fairly consistent, ending the quarter with approximately 429K.

Dreame - Read Best Romance, published by STARY PTE. LTD., showed a varied revenue trend, peaking at around $79K in the week of October 31. Downloads were lower compared to other apps, fluctuating between 1K and 2K. Active users remained stable, closing the quarter with about 52K.

Litres: Audio also from LitRes OOO, saw its weekly revenue decrease from approximately $65K to $47K. Downloads were relatively steady, hovering around 2K to 3K. Active users saw a slight decline, finishing the quarter with around 13K.
