In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five entertainment apps on the Android platform in the Netherlands showed varied performance trends. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Videoland saw a consistent number of downloads, peaking at approximately 35K in the week of December 19. The app’s weekly active users steadily increased from 170K at the start of the quarter to nearly 350K by the end of December.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at around 11K and closing the quarter at roughly 13K. Weekly revenue showed a peak of about $24.7K during the week of November 7, while active users varied between 73K and 92K.

Viaplay: Movies & TV Shows had a notable surge in downloads towards the end of December, reaching approximately 24K. Active users also increased, with numbers rising from 106K at the beginning of the quarter to over 131K by the end.

NPO Start maintained a stable download rate, with a peak of about 19K in the week of November 21. The app’s active users saw a significant rise to around 91K in the same week, ending the quarter with approximately 77K.

SkyShowtime: Movies & Series demonstrated steady growth in revenue, peaking at around $3.8K in the last week of December. Downloads and active users saw a gradual increase, with active users reaching nearly 39K by the end of the quarter.
