Q3 2022 Performance of Top iOS MMORPGs in Europe by Sensor Tower

The third quarter of 2022 saw varying performances among the top MMORPG applications on the iOS platform in Europe. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers insights into the downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these games.

Diablo Immortal from Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. showed a noticeable trend in revenue, starting with around €660k in late June and experiencing a gradual decline to approximately €388k by the end of September. Downloads began at around 59k in the last week of June and saw a decrease to around 27k by the end of September. Weekly active users started strong at around 658k but decreased to approximately 357k over the quarter.

Dragon Trail: Hunter World, published by 4399TH, had an initial strong showing in revenue with around €87k in the week of its release, peaking at over €200k in the following week, then stabilizing at around €150k by late September. Downloads spiked at over 100k upon its release but slowed down to nearly 19k by the end of September. The weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at around 87k and settling at nearly 39k.

The Legend of Neverland by Ark Games showed revenue starting at around €35k in early September, peaking at nearly €59k, and then declining to around €33k by the month's end. Downloads exhibited a sharp decrease from around 142k to nearly 13k. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trend from approximately 133k to around 30k.

For Noah's Heart from Archosaur Games, revenue was modest, beginning at around €28k in late July and falling to just above €2k by the end of September. The game's downloads also saw a sharp decline from around 64k to less than 1k. Unfortunately, data on weekly active users for Noah's Heart was not available.

Lastly, Albion Online from Sandbox Interactive GmbH maintained a relatively steady revenue stream, with figures hovering between €6k to €7k throughout the quarter. Downloads saw a high in mid-July with over 8k but dropped to around 4.6k by the end of September. Weekly active users peaked at around 17k in mid-July and slightly decreased to approximately 12.6k.
