Throughout Q3 2022, the top 5 MMORPG apps on iOS in the United Kingdom exhibited notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance.

Diablo Immortal by Blizzard Entertainment experienced a steady decline in weekly revenue, starting from approximately $64.8K at the end of June and dropping to around $34.7K by the end of September. Weekly downloads also saw a downward trend, peaking at 11K in late June and decreasing to about 2.8K by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting at 119K in late June and falling to 59.5K by the end of September.

Old School RuneScape from Jagex showed relatively stable weekly revenue throughout the quarter, fluctuating between $9.3K and $11.1K. Weekly downloads remained consistent, ranging from 876 to 1.2K, with a slight peak in late August. Active users also displayed stability, with numbers hovering around the 6.1K to 7.1K range.

Dragon Trail 2: Fantasy World by 4399TH saw an initial surge in weekly revenue after its release, reaching $21.5K in early September before stabilizing around $20K. Downloads, however, decreased significantly from 12.5K in late August to 1.7K by the end of September. RuneScape, another title from Jagex, experienced modest fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at $8.3K in late July and maintaining around $5.8K to $6.2K towards the end of September. Weekly downloads were relatively stable with a slight peak of 1.7K in late August. Active users showed an upward trend in late August, reaching 5.5K, before stabilizing around 4.8K by the end of the quarter.

MU ORIGIN 3 by FingerTips had a varied revenue pattern, starting at $10.1K in late June and fluctuating to around $6.6K by the end of September. Downloads were generally low, peaking at 979 in late June and settling around 480 by the end of the quarter. Active users also showed a fluctuating yet stable pattern, starting at 1.3K in late June and ending at 1K in late September.
