Top 5 Android Entertainment Apps in Ghana Q3 2022

The third quarter of 2022 provided insightful data on the performance of the top 5 entertainment apps on the Android platform in Ghana. According to Sensor Tower, the apps showcased varying trends in downloads, active users, and revenue.

StarTimes ON-Live TV, Football saw a significant increase in weekly downloads, peaking at 49K during the week of September 19. Weekly active users also rose, reaching 74K in the same week.

Netflix maintained a steady increase in weekly downloads, with a high of 16K in the week of August 22. The app also saw a consistent rise in weekly active users, peaking at 512K in the final week of September.

DStv experienced a notable surge in weekly downloads, reaching 11K during the week of August 8. Weekly active users fluctuated, peaking at 125K in early August and remaining relatively stable thereafter.

MyDStv Africa also demonstrated growth in weekly downloads, with a high of 10K during the week of August 8. The app’s weekly active users peaked at 58K in early August, followed by a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.

GB App Plus Version saw its weekly downloads peak at 14K in the week of August 22. Active users increased steadily, reaching 26K in late August before stabilizing around 18K towards the end of September.
