In the second quarter of 2022, the top entertainment apps in Brazil showed varying performance metrics across revenue, downloads, and active users. Here is a closer look at the trends observed for each app.

Globoplay: Novelas, séries e + experienced significant fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $1.8M in mid-April and then gradually declining to around $1.1M by the end of June. Weekly downloads saw a similar downward trend, starting at 312K at the end of March and decreasing to 163K by the end of June. Active users also showed a decline from 7.8M at the start of the quarter to 4.8M by the end.

Disney+ saw a steady weekly revenue with peaks reaching around $443K in late May and ending at $412K in the last week of June. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 241K and 310K throughout the quarter. Active users increased from 2.9M at the start of April to approximately 3.1M by the end of June.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies maintained a consistent weekly revenue, with a peak at $349K in the final week of June. The app's downloads varied, reaching a high of 390K in mid-April before dropping to 219K by the end of June. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 2.2M and ending at a similar level.

Star+ experienced a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $139K in the last week of June. Downloads showed a slight decline from 274K at the end of March to 284K by the end of June. Active users saw a notable rise from 1.9M at the start of the quarter to 2.6M by the end.

Crunchyroll saw steady weekly revenue, peaking at $136K in mid-April. Downloads fluctuated, with a high of 119K in early May and ending at 114K by the last week of June. Active users showed a downward trend from 795K at the beginning of April to 698K by the end of June.
