Top 5 Entertainment Apps on Android in Turkey: Q2 2022 Performance

The second quarter of 2022 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 entertainment apps on the Android platform in Turkey. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps experienced varying degrees of success in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

Disney+ saw a substantial increase in weekly downloads, starting at about 38K in early June and reaching around 429K by the end of the month. The app's weekly revenue also surged, peaking at approximately $88.9K in the week of June 20. Active users followed a similar upward trend, growing from 22K to 450K throughout the month.

YouTube Kids maintained a steady download rate, with numbers ranging from 57K to 82K over the quarter. Active users showed a consistent increase, reaching around 402K by the end of June, providing a stable user base for the app.

Netflix experienced a steady climb in weekly downloads, starting at 43K in late March and peaking at 63K in the week of June 20. Active users for Netflix remained robust, fluctuating around the 2.2M mark, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 2.4M.

ZEPETO: Avatar, Connect & Live showed a notable rise in weekly downloads, from 21K at the end of May to 68K by the end of June. Revenue also saw a modest increase, peaking at $299 in the final week of June. The app's active users grew significantly from 125K to 191K over the same period.

Lastly, BluTV exhibited a mixed performance. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at 62K in late May before settling at around 31K by the end of June. Active users saw an increase, reaching 283K at the end of May but slightly declining to 219K by the end of June.
