Top 5 Entertainment Apps on Android in UAE, Q2 2022

In the second quarter of 2022, the top entertainment apps on the Android platform in the United Arab Emirates demonstrated varying performance trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Disney+ saw a notable peak in weekly downloads at the beginning of June with approximately 101K downloads. However, this number declined to around 37K by the end of the month. Revenue for the app showed a downward trend, starting at $21.5K in the first week of June and dropping to $7.6K by the last week. Active users increased from 66.6K to a peak of 92.9K mid-month before falling to 73.7K by the end of June.

Yam video chat experienced significant fluctuations in downloads, with a substantial peak of nearly 59K in the first week of May. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at around 36.6K in early May and gradually declining to 13.4K by the end of June.

YouTube Kids maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 6.5K and 8.9K. Active users demonstrated consistent growth, rising from 76K at the end of March to over 100K by the end of June.

Mahzooz showed a steady increase in active users, peaking at approximately 33.5K in early June before dropping to 24.1K by the end of the month. Weekly downloads saw a peak of about 10.3K at the end of May, with a general downward trend to 5.6K by the end of June.

Netflix sustained a stable download rate, with weekly downloads ranging from 5.4K to 7.2K throughout the quarter. Active users remained high, consistently hovering around 220K, peaking at 229K in the last week of June.
