Throughout Q1 2022, the top entertainment applications in Latin America showed varied performance metrics in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the top five apps: HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Star+.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies from WarnerMedia saw its weekly revenue peak at around $684K in early March, while downloads reached a high of 1.4M in the first week of January. However, there was a decline in both metrics towards the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a fluctuating trend, peaking at over 7.5M in mid-February before dropping to approximately 6.5M by the end of March.

Netflix experienced a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at around $162K in late February. Downloads showed a steady decline from 1.25M in early January to about 981K by the end of March. Active users also decreased from over 72M in late December to approximately 59M at the end of the quarter.

For Disney+, weekly revenue remained strong, ranging between $822K and $1.1M throughout the quarter, peaking in late March. Downloads were highest at around 1.05M in mid-March, with active users showing a notable increase from around 9.6M in late January to approximately 10.5M by the end of March.

Amazon Prime Video saw its weekly revenue peak at around $87K in early February. Downloads varied, reaching a high of 998K in mid-January and then stabilizing around 707K by the end of March. Active users showed a slight decline from around 6.4M in late December to about 5.4M by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Star+ from Disney showed strong performance with weekly revenue peaking at approximately $308K in mid-March. Downloads reached their highest at around 829K in mid-March. Active users increased significantly from around 3M in late December to approximately 5.4M by the end of March.
