In the first quarter of 2022, the top five entertainment apps on iOS in the Middle East exhibited diverse performance trends. Here's a closer look at how TikTok, Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ, Yalla - Group Voice Chat Rooms, Netflix, and OSN+ performed during this period.

TikTok showed a consistent performance in terms of revenue, peaking at around $1.8M in the final week of February. Weekly downloads saw a peak of approximately 196K in mid-January but experienced a gradual decline to about 132K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 8.9M in late December and closing the quarter at approximately 8.9M.

Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ experienced notable growth in weekly revenue, culminating in around $860K at the end of March. Download trends saw a significant spike, reaching around 77.5K in the last week of March. Active users also showed a substantial increase, from about 310K in late December to approximately 426K by the end of the quarter.

Yalla - Group Voice Chat Rooms maintained a steady weekly revenue, peaking at around $168K in the last week of March. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight peak at 3.3K in mid-January. Active users started the quarter at around 38K and saw a gradual decline to about 32K by the end of March.

Netflix showed a somewhat fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $148K in late February. Weekly downloads were highest at around 57K in the first week of January but declined to about 34K by the end of March. Active users reached a peak in early January at about 1.5M and then saw a gradual decrease to around 1.3M by the end of the quarter.

OSN+ displayed a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $116K at the end of February. Downloads saw a significant drop, from around 26K in early January to about 10K by the end of March. Active users also declined from approximately 150K in late December to about 107K by the end of the quarter.
