Top 5 Entertainment Apps on Android in Netherlands Q1 2022

In Q1 2022, the top five entertainment apps on the Android platform in the Netherlands were Disney+, Videoland, Viaplay: Movies & TV Shows, Amazon Prime Video, and NPO Start. Here is a closer look at their performance metrics.

Disney+ saw a peak in weekly revenue of approximately $43K in the second week of January, with a steady decline to around $28K by the end of March. Downloads started strong at about 20K in late December but decreased to nearly 9K by the end of the quarter. Active users fluctuated, starting at 620K and dipping to around 502K in late March.

Videoland did not generate any revenue during this period. Downloads began at around 15.7K in late December, peaking at nearly 19K in early January, then gradually declined to approximately 5.8K by the end of March. Active users showed some stability, starting at 244K and ending the quarter at around 202K.

Viaplay: Movies & TV Shows also did not generate any revenue. Downloads started strong with 22.8K in the last week of February, peaking at 27.7K in mid-March, and then dropped to 17.3K by the last week of March. Active users increased significantly, starting at 18.4K and reaching nearly 59K by the end of March.

Amazon Prime Video had minimal revenue, peaking at $36 in mid-January. Downloads started at 12.7K in late December and decreased to around 5.2K by the end of March. Active users began at 94K and experienced a slight dip, ending the quarter at about 70K.

NPO Start did not report any revenue for the quarter. Downloads started at approximately 11.7K in late December, declining to around 5.7K by the end of March. Active users showed an increase from 88.5K at the start of the quarter to about 80.6K by the end of March.
