In the fourth quarter of 2021, the top 5 entertainment applications in Kuwait showcased notable trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here's a closer look at the performance of TikTok, Netflix, YouTube Kids, Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ, and Viu -Stream TV Shows & Serials.

TikTok saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $207K in the final week of November. Weekly downloads fluctuated, reaching a high of around 18K in the week of November 22. Active users showed a consistent upward trend, growing from about 1.62M to 1.68M throughout the quarter.

Netflix experienced a peak in weekly revenue of about $9.6K at the end of September, with fluctuations throughout the quarter, ending at roughly $5.6K. Downloads saw a gradual decline, starting at around 3.9K and dropping to about 2.6K before a slight recovery to 3.3K by the end of December. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase from approximately 261K to 256K.

YouTube Kids did not generate any revenue during this period. However, weekly downloads remained steady, ranging between 2.5K and 3.4K. Active users showed a positive trend, increasing from about 45K to nearly 60K by the end of December.

Shahid - ﺷﺎﻫﺪ saw a peak in weekly revenue of approximately $69K in late October, with fluctuations thereafter, ending the quarter at around $38K. Weekly downloads remained consistent, hovering around 2.5K. Active users showed minor variations, maintaining an average close to 34K.

Viu -Stream TV Shows & Serials had a modest performance in revenue, peaking at about $524 in late September. Weekly downloads saw a significant rise, starting at around 1.2K and reaching over 3.1K by the end of December. Active users steadily increased from approximately 32K to 38K during the quarter.
