In the third quarter of 2021, the top entertainment apps in Egypt showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Play Games maintained a high level of weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 104K in mid-September. Active users experienced a slight decline, starting from 1.75M at the beginning of the quarter and gradually decreasing to 1.5M by the end of September.

Viu: Dramas, TV Shows & Movies saw fluctuations in its weekly downloads, with a notable peak of 83K in mid-September. The app’s revenue remained relatively stable, with weekly earnings around $700 to $900. Active users showed a downward trend, starting from 830K and reducing to 644K by the end of the quarter.

Sango-Chat, Explore & Hangout experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads from 131K in early July to around 30K by the end of September. Weekly revenue varied, reaching up to $808 in late August. Active users also saw a decline, starting from 241K and dropping to 69K by the quarter's end.

YouTube Kids maintained consistent weekly download numbers, ranging from 35K to 55K throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable with minor fluctuations, starting at 205K and ending at 196K.

Projector Pro showed varied weekly downloads, peaking at 73K in early September. Active users saw a significant increase, from 50K at the start of the quarter to nearly 98K in early September before stabilizing around 48K by the end of the month.
