Top 5 Entertainment Apps Performance in Colombia Q3 2021

During the third quarter of 2021, the top five entertainment apps in Colombia showcased diverse trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower's data.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies experienced a notable peak in weekly downloads at the start of the quarter with 228K but saw a decline to approximately 67K by the end of September. Revenue saw fluctuations, peaking at around $19.7K in the first week of July and stabilizing to about $9.5K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a consistent trend, starting at 228K and ending Q3 with around 330K.

Netflix maintained steady revenue, with weekly figures ranging from $3.5K to $6.1K. Downloads were relatively stable initially but surged dramatically to 158K in the final week of September. The app's active users showed a steady increase, starting at 4.1M and reaching approximately 4.5M by the end of the quarter.

Disney+ had a strong start with $43.7K in revenue during the first week of Q3, but this metric saw a decline to around $32.9K by the end of September. Downloads saw a significant drop from 108K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 44K. Active users also declined from 1.8M to about 1.2M over the same period.

Pluto TV: Watch & Stream Live had a consistent performance in terms of downloads, fluctuating between 58K and 75K throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable, starting at 413K and ending Q3 with approximately 394K.

Amazon Prime Video saw weekly revenue trends peaking at $14.4K at the beginning and ending the quarter at around $14.5K. Downloads showed a mixed trend, peaking mid-quarter at 80K before declining to about 33K by the end of September. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 500K mark throughout the quarter.
