In Q3 2021, the entertainment app market in Central America was led by HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies, Disney+, Netflix, Google Play Games, and Tubi: Free Movies & Live TV. Here’s a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

HBO Max: Stream TV & Movies saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $203K in early July before stabilizing between $88K and $126K for the rest of the quarter. Weekly downloads showed a downward trend, starting at approximately 893K in late June and dropping to about 305K by the end of September. However, weekly active users increased steadily from 875K to over 2M.

Disney+ maintained a strong revenue stream throughout Q3, with weekly revenue fluctuating between $284K and $350K. Downloads, however, exhibited a downward trend, beginning at 362K in late June and decreasing to 182K by the end of September. Active users also saw a decline, dropping from 3.2M to around 2.8M.
