Top 5 Entertainment Apps on iOS in Netherlands Q3 2021

The third quarter of 2021 saw notable trends in the performance of the top five entertainment apps on iOS in the Netherlands. Data from Sensor Tower provides a closer look at the weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics for TikTok, Netflix, Disney+, Ziggo GO, and Videoland.

TikTok saw a significant rise in weekly revenue, starting at around $27K at the end of June and peaking at approximately $86K by the end of September. Weekly downloads for the app remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 15K and 23K. Active users showed a slight decline from around 1.79M in late June to 1.71M by the end of September.

Netflix maintained a steady revenue stream, starting at $71K and fluctuating slightly to end at around $68K. Downloads saw an initial increase, peaking at about 21K in late July but later declined to around 13K to 20K towards the end of the quarter. Active users generally hovered around 1.1M, with a slight dip in August but recovering to approximately 1.19M by the end of September.

Disney+ experienced a strong revenue performance, starting at $138K and reaching up to $173K in mid-July before settling around $156K by the end of September. Downloads were consistent, ranging from 8.8K to 14.6K. The app's active users remained steady, beginning at around 365K and ending the quarter at approximately 371K.

Ziggo GO observed fluctuating download numbers, starting at 11K in late June, peaking at 18.5K in late August, and ending at about 7.4K. Active users showed a similar pattern, starting at around 268K, peaking at 283K in late August, and finishing the quarter at approximately 215K.

Finally, Videoland had a stable download trend, starting at 7.5K and ending at 8.4K, with a peak at around 9.4K in late July. Active users showed some fluctuations, beginning at approximately 203K, peaking at 211K in late August, and concluding the quarter at around 209K.
