Top 5 Entertainment Apps on Android in Ghana Q3 2021

Throughout the third quarter of 2021, the top entertainment apps on the Android platform in Ghana showcased varied performance trends in terms of downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower provides an insightful look into these trends.

Showmax 1.0 experienced a notable fluctuation in weekly downloads, ranging from approximately 25.6K to 70.8K. The highest download count was observed in the week of September 13. Active users for the app hovered between 364K and 462K, with a peak in early July.

StarTimes ON-Live TV, Football saw a sharp initial drop in weekly downloads, from 408.6K at the beginning of the quarter to around 10.7K in mid-July. However, a gradual recovery was noted, with downloads reaching 51.7K by the end of September. Active users also dipped significantly from 531K to around 80K during the quarter, before slightly rebounding to approximately 105K.

Vskit: Short Video, Link More maintained a modest download rate initially, with figures ranging from 7.9K to 34.7K. A noticeable spike occurred towards the end of August. Active users for Vskit showed a similar trend, starting from 29.7K and eventually reaching around 21K by the end of the quarter.

Google Play Games demonstrated a consistent weekly download trend, fluctuating between approximately 13.8K and 22.1K. Active users remained relatively stable, with slight increases and decreases, peaking at around 308K in early September.

Netflix followed a steady upward trajectory in weekly downloads, beginning at 7.7K and reaching up to 20.8K by the end of August. Active users also showed growth, moving from 240K at the start of the quarter to around 320K by the end of August, before slightly tapering off in September.
