The first quarter of 2021 has seen varied performances among the top book applications on the iOS platform in France. Sensor Tower provides detailed insights into how these apps are faring in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

LibriVox Audio Books saw a significant drop in downloads from nearly 70K at the end of December to just over 1K by the end of March. Weekly active users also saw a decline from around 38K to 4K in the same period, while revenue peaked at $36 in the last week of March.

Wattpad - Read & Write Stories maintained a relatively stable download count, starting at 13K and ending the quarter at 7.5K. Weekly active users showed a steady increase from 512K to 583K, with a peak at almost 600K in mid-March. Revenue for Wattpad had a mid-quarter dip but recovered to $2.5K by the end of March.

Audible: Audio Entertainment experienced fluctuating revenue, ending the quarter on a high note with $589 in the final week. Downloads decreased over the quarter from 10K to 3.9K, and weekly active users saw a slight decline from 115K to 103K.

Amazon Kindle, which doesn't report revenue, had a steady number of downloads, starting at 7.1K and slightly decreasing to 4.3K by the end of March. The weekly active users experienced a dip early in the quarter but showed recovery towards the end, finishing at 84K.

Free Manga (French) did not report any revenue and had modest download numbers that hovered around 2K for the entire quarter. Unfortunately, the data for weekly active users was not available.
