European Android Music/Rhythm Apps Shine in Q4 2020

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the Music/Rhythm category for Android apps saw considerable activity in Europe. Sensor Tower's data offers a glimpse into the performance of the top applications within this vibrant segment.

Sweet Dance-RU, published by UniuGame from Hong Kong, experienced a fluctuating trend with downloads peaking at 37K in early November before dropping to 5.9K by year-end. Weekly active users mirrored this pattern, starting at 60K in late September and reaching a high of 67K in mid-November, before declining to 38K at the close of December. Revenue showed an upward trend in the final week, ending at $15.7K.

Just Dance Now by Ubisoft Entertainment witnessed a steady increase in revenue, culminating at $16.7K in the last week of December. Downloads for the app saw a significant rise toward the end of the quarter, jumping from 12.9K to 35K. Weekly active users also peaked in the final week, reaching 73.5K.

Love Live! All Stars, from Bushiroad International Pte Ltd, showcased a revenue boost in December, hitting $11K. Although the app had relatively low download numbers, the weekly active users maintained a consistent base, ending the quarter with 1.7K.

BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!, also by Bushiroad International Pte Ltd, saw a notable spike in revenue in the third week of November, reaching $12.3K, with a smaller peak at the end of December at $3.4K. Downloads remained stable with a slight increase to 1.6K in the final week. Weekly active users ended at 9.9K, after a peak of 12.3K in November.

Magic Tiles 3 by AMANOTES PTE LTD from Vietnam was a standout in terms of downloads, which soared to 481K in the final week of December. Weekly active users followed suit, increasing to 2.8M by year's end. Revenue also showed an uptick, ending the quarter at $3.4K.
