US Airline Recap 3Q22
US airline app monthly active users (MAUs) increased by 27% YoY in 3Q22 and 39% compared to pre-pandemic 2019, with Spirit Airlines seeing the largest gain of 137% from 3Q19. However, Southwest Airlines' app MAUs were flat YoY and down 18% against 3Q19 due to its lack of route coverage and less competitive pricing. American Airlines' app had the highest market share at 30%, followed by Delta at 23%, United at 20%, and Southwest at 14%.
