Top Ridesharing and Taxi Apps Worldwide for July 2019 by Downloads

Uber was the most downloaded ridesharing and taxi app worldwide for July 2019 with more than 13 million installs, which represented a 3 percent increase from July 2018. The countries with the most installs of the app during this period were Brazil at 18 percent of its total downloads and the United States at 16 percent. The full top 10 ranking of ridesharing and taxi apps worldwide by downloads for July 2019 is above. App download estimates are from Sensor Tower’s Store Intelligence platform.

Grab was the second most installed ridesharing and taxi app worldwide in month with close to five million installs, which represented a 14 percent increase from July 2018. The countries with the largest number of Grab installs were Indonesia at 42 percent, followed by Vietnam at 16 percent. DiDi, Ola, and inDriver rounded out the top five most installed ridesharing and taxi apps worldwide for the month.

Our estimates include downloads for the App Store and Google Play worldwide between July 1, 2018 and July 31, 2019. Apple apps and Google pre-installed apps are excluded. We report unique installs only. Android estimates do not include third-party stores. Figures represent aggregate installs of all app versions, ex: Facebook and Facebook Lite.
