Top 5 MOBA Apps on iOS in Europe: Q1 2023 Performance Insights

The first quarter of 2023 has been eventful for the top Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games on iOS in Europe. Sensor Tower's data offers a glimpse into the recent trends for these competitive gaming apps.

Starting with Brawl Stars, we saw a notable decrease in revenue from around 670k to almost 275k over the quarter. Downloads and weekly active users also showed a downward trend, with downloads dipping from around 180k to approximately 78k and active users falling from about 5.6 million to around 3.6 million.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang experienced fluctuations in revenue, peaking at almost 370k before settling at around 260k. Downloads remained fairly steady with a slight increase from about 36k to roughly 38k. Weekly active users showed a more positive trend, growing from around 457k to close to 500k.

For League of Legends: Wild Rift, revenue saw a peak at over 350k before declining to approximately 93k. The game's downloads hovered around the 30k mark, while weekly active users remained stable, with a slight end-of-quarter increase from around 468k to approximately 450k.

Pokémon UNITE had modest revenue, peaking at about 24k and ending the quarter at around 10k. Downloads saw a spike in late February, reaching over 27k, but concluded the quarter at almost 19k. Weekly active users showed a slight increase throughout the quarter, starting at around 172k and ending at around 157k.

Lastly, Arena of Valor displayed a consistent revenue trend, with a slight increase from around 12k to almost 12k. The game's downloads and weekly active users both showed a downward trend, with downloads starting at about 2.8k and ending at nearly 2k, and active users decreasing from approximately 14k to around 12k.
