Q2 2023 Android MOBA Performance in Europe: Top 5 Apps Analyzed

The second quarter of 2023 has been an eventful period for the MOBA genre on Android in Europe. With data sourced from Sensor Tower, we're taking a closer look at the performance of the top five MOBA applications in this competitive landscape.

Starting with Brawl Stars, the title saw its revenue fluctuate, peaking at around 668k in early May before dipping to approximately 215k in mid-June. Downloads remained robust, with the highest count of around 188k in the last week of June. The game's active user base experienced a slight decline from around 16 million at the end of March to nearly 14 million by the end of June.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang maintained a strong revenue stream with a high of around 478k in mid-April, but it saw a decrease to about 265k by the end of June. The game's downloads hovered around the 100k mark, with a notable increase in weekly active users from approximately 2.6 million to over 2.7 million during the quarter.

Pokémon UNITE exhibited a modest revenue pattern, with earnings ranging from around 13k to 21k. Downloads peaked at over 107k in late May, while the active user count saw a significant rise in the same period, reaching over half a million before settling to around 418k.

For League of Legends: Wild Rift, revenue saw an impressive increase in late May, spiking to around 273k. The game also experienced a steady increase in downloads, peaking at approximately 47k in the final week of June. Active users showed a positive trend, growing from around 484k to over 500k by the quarter's end.

Tanks a Lot - 3v3 Battle Arena, while having a smaller revenue compared to the others, showed consistency with figures between 2k and 4.5k. Downloads reached a high of around 12k at the beginning of May, and the weekly active users count remained fairly stable, ending the quarter with around 54k.
