As Q1 2023 has wrapped up, Sensor Tower provides an insight into the performance of the top iOS shopping applications in the Latin American market. The data shows notable trends in downloads and user engagement across popular shopping platforms.

SHEIN - Shopping Online, a leading fashion retail app, saw its downloads peak at around 333k in the first week of January, followed by a gradual decrease to approximately 257k by the end of March. The weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at around 5.5 million at the end of December and growing to over 6 million by late February.

Mercado Libre: Compras Online, another prominent player, began the quarter with around 163k downloads and saw a rise to nearly 187k in early January. The app maintained a relatively stable download rate, ending the quarter with around 178k downloads. Weekly active users for Mercado Libre fluctuated slightly but remained strong, starting at around 6.4 million and reaching up to 6.6 million during February.

Shopee Brasil - Frete Zero experienced its highest number of downloads at the start of the year with around 179k, which then declined to about 119k by the end of March. The weekly active users for Shopee Brasil showed more stability, starting at approximately 3.3 million and maintaining a steady pace throughout the quarter, despite a slight drop to 3.3 million in the last week.

Amazon Shopping witnessed a download high of around 133k in early January, which decreased to roughly 103k by March's end. The app's weekly active users saw a decrease from approximately 3 million at the beginning of the quarter to about 2.8 million by the quarter's close.

Lastly, the AliExpress Shopping App showed an increase in downloads from around 64k at the end of December to over 88k in the third week of March. Weekly active users for AliExpress also displayed growth, starting at around 2.3 million and reaching a peak of over 3 million in the third week of March before settling at around 2.5 million at the quarter's end.
