Q1 2023 Performance of Top iOS Real-Time Strategy Apps in Europe

Sensor Tower's data for the first quarter of 2023 reveals the dynamic landscape of Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games on iOS within the European market. Let's delve into the performance of the top five applications in this genre.

Clash Royale, from Finnish publisher Supercell, showed a robust performance with its revenue peaking at around 500k in the first and last weeks of the quarter. Downloads steadily hovered around 70k to 80k, while weekly active users (WAUs) experienced a dip in January, reaching close to 5 million towards the end of March.

Hong Kong's Infinite Galaxy generated revenues fluctuating around 50k, with a slight decline in late February. The game's downloads remained in the low hundreds, and WAUs saw a gradual decrease from around 10k at the start of the quarter to just over 6k by the end.

French publisher Voodoo's Mob Control showed an interesting pattern with revenues rising to nearly 40k in mid-February. Its downloads showed a significant spike in early January at almost 160k, before stabilizing around 60k to 70k. Lastly, another Fastone Games title, Island War: Raid, exhibited a revenue pattern with some fluctuations, dropping to around 18k by the end of March. The game's downloads were mostly below 6k, with a slight uptick towards the end of the quarter. WAUs followed a declining trend, finishing just above 10k.
