Q1 2023 Performance of Top Consumer Finance Apps on iOS in Latin America

In the first quarter of 2023, the consumer finance app category has shown varied performance on the iOS platform in Latin America. According to Sensor Tower's data, here's how the top five apps fared during this period.

Nubank - Conta e Cartão maintained strong download numbers, starting the quarter with around 134k downloads and peaking at nearly 175k by the end of February. Weekly active users also showed an upward trend, beginning at around 8.1 million and rising to approximately 8.8 million by the end of March.

Mercado Pago: cuenta digital experienced a consistent level of downloads throughout the quarter, hovering around the 100k mark weekly, with a slight peak at around 106k in late February. The app's active users showed a steady increase from about 3.3 million to over 3.6 million in the same month before settling at around 3.5 million.

For PicPay: Conta, Pix e Cartão, downloads fluctuated between approximately 45k and 60k, with the highest numbers recorded in late March. The app's weekly active users ranged from around 1.9 million to 2 million, with a peak of over 2 million in early March.

CAIXA saw its downloads vary, dropping to about 40k in mid-February but recovering to over 55k in early March. Active users of CAIXA demonstrated a slight decline from around 1.5 million at the start of the quarter to roughly the same number by the end.

Lastly, BBVA México downloads remained fairly stable, with a low of around 40k and a high of approximately 44k. The weekly active users exhibited a decreasing trend from about 1.2 million at the beginning of the quarter to 1.1 million by the end.
