Europe's Top 5 iOS Geolocation Games Performance in Q2 2023

Exploring the outdoors with virtual adventures continues to be a popular pastime, as evidenced by the latest data from Sensor Tower. In Q2 of 2023, we've seen some interesting trends among the top geolocation games on iOS across Europe.

Pokémon GO remains a heavyweight in the genre, with revenue peaking at around 833k in early May before settling to approximately 818k by the end of June. Downloads for the game showed consistent interest, hovering around the mid-60k range weekly, while weekly active users saw a steady increase from around 2.7 million to nearly 3 million.

Tamadog - Puppy Pet Dog Games exhibited a slight decline in revenue from around 9k in early April to approximately 8k by late June. Downloads started strong at around 25k but dipped to just over 7k towards the end of the quarter. Similarly, weekly active users gradually decreased from approximately 24k to around 11k.

The newcomer Peridot made a splash with its release in early May, garnering around 40k downloads initially, though it experienced a drop to about 7.5k by late June. Revenue started at around 11k and saw some fluctuations, ending at about 8.3k. Active users peaked at around 30k in mid-June, later falling to about 18k.

Illumix, Inc.'s Five Nights at Freddy's AR showed modest revenue figures, starting at about 1.5k and rising to roughly 2.4k by the end of the quarter. Downloads saw a significant boost in late May, peaking at around 12.5k, with active users reaching a high of 32k before slightly decreasing.

Lastly, Jurassic World Alive by Ludia saw its revenue fluctuate, with a notable peak at 60k in late May, ending the quarter at around 29k. Downloads remained steady, with a slight increase in June, and weekly active users showed an overall stable trend, maintaining a user base close to 39k.
