In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top five news applications on a unified platform in Central America revealed interesting trends. Data sourced from Sensor Tower highlights key metrics such as weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

X from X Corp. maintained a consistent presence with weekly revenue peaking at about $42K at the start of April, before gradually declining to approximately $31.9K by the end of June. Weekly downloads showed a significant spike in mid-May, reaching around 208K, while weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 20.8M and ending at 19.6M.

Reddit experienced modest weekly revenue, peaking at $369 in the last week of June. Downloads started at 50K at the end of March and decreased to about 27.9K by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a slight decrease from 1.68M to 1.59M.

Substack saw its revenue peak at $53 in late June. Downloads varied throughout the quarter, with a peak of 7.4K in mid-April. Active users showed a strong upward trend, increasing from 19.2K to nearly 50K.
