In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top five news applications on a unified platform in Belarus revealed intriguing trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

X from X Corp. experienced a peak in weekly revenue at approximately $684 in mid-April, while downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 1.2K weekly. Active users saw a decline from around 131K at the start of the quarter to 111K by the end.

Medium: Read & Write Stories showed a modest revenue increase, with a high of $167 in early June. Weekly downloads rose to 131 by the same period, although active users slightly decreased from 1.1K to under 1K.

For The Economist - News, Podcasts, weekly revenue spiked to $344 in late June, despite downloads remaining low, peaking at 39 at the quarter's start. Active users hovered around 120.

The Wall Street Journal. News had a notable increase in revenue, reaching $110 in early June, although weekly downloads and active users showed minimal fluctuation, maintaining around 30 and 100 respectively.

Finally, NYTimes: US and Global News saw revenue stabilize at $30 towards the end of the quarter, with downloads peaking at 64 in late May. Active users slightly decreased from 162 to 129.
