In the second quarter of 2025, the top five news applications on the iOS platform in Algeria demonstrated varied performance trends. Based on data from Sensor Tower, here’s an overview of their weekly downloads, revenue, and active user statistics.

X from X Corp. saw a significant rise in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $87 in mid-June. Downloads initially decreased, bottoming out at about 1.7K in late April, but later rebounded to over 2K by the end of June. Active users fluctuated, peaking at over 200K mid-quarter before closing at around 172K.

Reddit maintained a consistent download rate, averaging around 500 downloads weekly. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 11K throughout the quarter.

Radio thmanyah: Podcast, Books experienced a peak in downloads with nearly 1K in late April, although this figure fell sharply in the following weeks. Active users increased steadily, reaching over 5K in May before tapering off slightly.
