Top 5 iOS Books Apps in the Netherlands: Q2 2025 Performance

In the second quarter of 2025, the top five books applications on iOS in the Netherlands showed varied performance trends. Here's a closer look at each app's journey through the quarter, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Fluister from DPG Media Services saw a decline in weekly downloads early in the quarter, dropping from about 9K to just under 1K by early June. However, a significant spike was observed mid-June, reaching over 16K downloads. The app maintained a stable active user base, fluctuating between 22K and 29K throughout the quarter.

Storytel - Audiobooks Library by Storytel Sweden AB maintained a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $7.5K at the end of June. Downloads remained stable, hovering around 1.8K to 2.3K weekly. Active users showed slight fluctuations, ranging from 119K to 133K.

Broodje Dunner, a newer entry, experienced a sharp decline in downloads from over 6K in late March to around 500 by the end of June. This app did not report any weekly revenue or active user data.

Kobo Books & Audiobooks maintained a steady increase in downloads, starting at 713 and rising to over 1.6K by the end of the quarter. Active users also increased, reaching over 44K mid-June before settling to around 37K.

Lastly, Kobo via bol demonstrated gradual growth in downloads, climbing from 621 to nearly 1.4K. Active users increased steadily, peaking at over 76K in early June.
