In the first quarter of 2025, the leading shopping applications in South America demonstrated notable trends across downloads and active users. This analysis is based on data from Sensor Tower, offering a comprehensive view of app performance on a unified platform.

The Temu: Shop Like a Billionaire app saw a dynamic pattern in weekly downloads. Starting at around 2.1M downloads, it experienced fluctuations, peaking at about 2.3M in mid-March, before declining to just under 1M by the end of the quarter. Active users showed a similar trend, rising to approximately 28M in early March before dropping to around 22.5M.

Mercado Libre: Compras Online maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads starting at roughly 775K and reaching up to 1M in late January. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 120M and 126M, peaking towards the end of March.

SHEIN - Shopping Online exhibited consistent download numbers, beginning at around 670K and peaking at over 830K in March. Active users increased from 60M to nearly 67M by the quarter's end, showing a positive growth trend.

Shopee Brasil - Frete Zero experienced steady downloads, averaging around 600K weekly, with a peak of 764K in late January. Active users fluctuated, peaking at approximately 97M in early March.

Amazon Shopping showed a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at about $101K in mid-March. Downloads started at 388K, rising to 520K, while active users remained stable, ending the quarter at around 36.5M.
