In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top lifestyle applications in New Zealand showcased interesting trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Z App saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 20.3K in mid-March. Weekly active users also rose steadily, starting from around 77.2K at the beginning of January and reaching 119.1K by the end of March.

Pinterest experienced a relatively stable number of weekly downloads, fluctuating between 3.8K and 5.3K. The app maintained a strong user base, with active users consistently around 200K, peaking at 244.3K in late January.

Trade Me: Property, Jobs, Shop had a steady download rate, starting at 5.8K and maintaining around 6.4K towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed a slight decrease, moving from 662.1K at the start to 611.8K by the end of March.

Google Home downloads saw a spike in early March, reaching 7.5K, although the numbers generally hovered around 2.5K to 3.4K. Active users ranged from 149.2K to 177.3K, with some fluctuations throughout the quarter.

Realestate had a consistent download pattern, with numbers between 1.6K and 2.7K. The active user count showed a gradual increase, starting at 18.2K and peaking at 26.4K in early March.
