In the first quarter of 2025, the top five books applications in Italy showed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Audible: Audiobooks & Podcasts began the quarter with a weekly revenue of around $84.6K, experiencing fluctuations but ultimately peaking at approximately $105.6K by late February. Weekly downloads started at 17K, witnessing a decline mid-quarter before stabilizing around 9.5K by the end of March. Active users fluctuated, starting at 774K and ending at approximately 749K.

Storytel - Audiobooks Library saw weekly revenue start at $4.7K, growing steadily to reach $12.3K by early March, before dropping to $9.7K by the end of the quarter. Downloads increased from 1.5K to 2.4K, while active users varied, starting at 44.7K and finishing the quarter at 38K.

Galatea: Books & Audiobooks had a notable start with $20K in weekly revenue, which decreased significantly to $14.3K by the end of March. Downloads dropped from 3.1K to 862 over the quarter, with active users declining sharply from 14.9K to 4.8K.
