Top 5 iOS News Apps in Finland Q1 2025: Performance Insights

In the first quarter of 2025, the performance of the top five news applications on iOS in Finland showcased diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the performance of these leading apps.

Yle from Yleisradio Oy saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at around 4.7K in early February, before settling to about 790 by the end of March.

Reddit demonstrated consistent weekly revenue, averaging close to $140 throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads were stable, with a high of approximately 2.4K in mid-January. Active users remained strong, starting at 92.4K and ending at 83.5K.

Uusi Juttu launched with a notable spike in downloads, reaching 7.6K in its debut week. However, downloads gradually declined, stabilizing at around 159 by the quarter's end. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 9.8K before settling to about 5.2K.

X from X Corp. experienced a rise in weekly revenue, reaching a peak of $3.3K in early March. Downloads remained fairly consistent, averaging around 1.2K per week. Active users fluctuated, starting at 125K and ending at approximately 99.6K.

HS – Helsingin Sanomat from Sanoma Media Finland had steady weekly revenue, hovering around $60. Downloads began at 876 and gradually decreased to 478 by the end of March. Active users showed a minor decline from 127K to 117K.
