In the first quarter of 2025, the top five news applications on iOS in Ecuador displayed varying performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.

X from X Corp. saw a notable increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $3.7K by the end of March. Weekly downloads initially rose to 3.5K in early February, followed by a peak of 4.7K in late March. Active users started at 342.6K, with fluctuations throughout the quarter, closing at 312.2K.

Reddit maintained stable weekly downloads, averaging around 800, while revenue remained modest, with a peak at $26 in the first week of January. Active users showed a slight upward trend, ending the quarter at 14.2K.

RadioApp - A Simple Radio App experienced consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 130 to 180. Revenue varied slightly, reaching $34 towards the end of March. Active users began at 658 and concluded at 464, showing a gradual decrease.

Substack had an interesting trend with weekly downloads increasing from 115 to 276 over the quarter. Active users also saw growth, starting at 1.5K and rising to 1.9K by the end of March.

Google News exhibited a steady decline in weekly downloads, from 210 to 86. Active users peaked at 19.3K in late February but ended the quarter at 14.5K.
