Top News Apps Performance on iOS in Colombia, Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, the top five news applications on the iOS platform in Colombia demonstrated varied performance in terms of revenue, downloads, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

X from X Corp. showed a consistent upward trend in weekly revenue, culminating at approximately $6.2K by the end of March. The app's downloads fluctuated, peaking at 12.2K in early January, before experiencing a decline towards the end of the quarter. Active users started at around 1.08M, with a slight decrease to about 1.05M by March.

Periódico EL TIEMPO - Noticias saw a notable increase in revenue mid-March, reaching $3.5K. Downloads remained steady, hovering around the 250 mark throughout the quarter.

The Economist - News, Podcasts experienced a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at $1.1K in mid-March. Downloads declined from 107 to 71, while active users fluctuated slightly, ending at 545.

NYTimes: US and Global News had a stable revenue stream, with a peak of $686 in mid-February. Downloads were relatively stable, and active users increased from 1.2K to 1.57K by the end of the quarter.

Finally, Bloomberg: Business News Daily displayed a varied revenue pattern, with a high of $503 in early March. The app's downloads remained under 120, and active users showed a slight increase, ending the quarter at 206.
