In the first quarter of 2025, the top five book applications on the iOS platform in Ireland showcased varied performance trends, as captured by Sensor Tower's data.

Audible: Audiobooks & Podcasts experienced fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $40.4K at the end of January. Weekly downloads remained relatively stable, hovering around 1K, while weekly active users saw a decline from 70.6K to 64.4K over the quarter.

Amazon Kindle maintained a consistent weekly download rate, beginning the quarter with 1.6K downloads and gradually decreasing to 645 by the end of March. The active user base started at 28.9K and decreased to 21.5K, reflecting a downward trend.

BorrowBox showed a gradual decline in weekly downloads from 688 to 556. Active users also decreased slightly, from 19.1K to 17.7K, over the quarter.

Goodreads: Book Reviews saw a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting at 1.5K and declining to 368 by the end of March. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 21.8K to 17.1K.
