In the first quarter of 2025, the insurance app market in the Netherlands saw varied performance among the top five apps on the Android platform. Here’s a closer look at their weekly trends in terms of downloads and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.
CZ experienced a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting at about 10.4K at the beginning of January and dropping to around 1.6K by the end of March. The app's weekly active users also decreased steadily from approximately 85.8K to 41.9K.
The FBTO Care app had a decrease in weekly downloads, beginning with 7.9K and ending the quarter at 1.9K. However, weekly active users exhibited a positive trend, increasing from 54.3K to 31.9K by the end of March.
Consumentenbond showed a spike in downloads mid-quarter, reaching 10.7K in the week of February 17, before tapering off to 647 by the end of the quarter.
Zilveren Kruis started the quarter with 7.6K downloads, which declined to 1.7K by March end. The app maintained a relatively stable number of active users, with slight fluctuations, ending the quarter with 61.3K users.
Finally, Univé saw a gradual decrease in downloads from 4.3K to 1.9K over the quarter. Weekly active users dropped from 46.5K to 24.7K, with a slight rebound mid-March.
